Families want their loved ones to feel comfortable and connected while learning to navigate a new care environment. At D’Amico Pettinicchi Injury Lawyers, we created our Comfort Care Kits with those families in mind. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, we will bring 200 kits to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s of Central Connecticut at Rockwell Park in Bristol. Comfort for loved ones. Resources for families. A blanket, a familiar photograph, or an activity shared during a visit can offer a small connection to home. Our kits bring together comfort items and simple activities for residents, along with practical information for the family members supporting them. Each tote includes: A family resource folder and pen Playing cards A $15 Barnes & Noble gift card A picture frame for a 4 × 6 photo A magnifier A jigsaw puzzle A large-print puzzle book A coloring book and crayons A blanket The resource folder provides information about resident rights, important contacts, and steps families can take if concerns arise. Together, the items are intended to help loved ones feel more at home and help families stay informed and involved. Why we created the kits For more than 35 years, our firm has worked with families whose loved ones have been seriously injured in care facilities. Through that work, we have seen how overwhelming a transition into a new care setting can feel. The Comfort Care Kit is a small, practical way to support families during that transition. It reflects a commitment that extends beyond our legal work: helping people feel supported as they navigate difficult moments. Walking alongside the community Thomas P. Pettinicchi and Jeremy D’Amico will join families, caregivers, and advocates at the October 17 walk as we come together in support of a future without Alzheimer’s. During the Promise Garden ceremony, Tom will serve as our firm’s Orange Flower Holder, while the emcee shares what participating in the walk means to our team. Our support will continue at the firm-sponsored Refreshments Tent, where walkers can stop by for water, fresh fruit, and snacks and connect with our team. We are proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association through a day dedicated to awareness, connection, and hope. For our firm, it is an opportunity to remind families facing Alzheimer’s that they have a community beside them. Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Central ConnecticutSaturday, October 17, 2026 Event opens: 9:00 a.m.Rockwell Park, Bristol, Connecticut Visit the official event page to learn more or register. "},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
200 Gestures of Care: Supporting Families at the Bristol Walk to End Alzheimer’s
https://damicopettinicchi.com/blog/200-gestures-of-care-supporting-families-at-the-bristol-walk-to-end-alzheimers/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
